I am looking at the forum and I recognize the spirit of the old RWF. Everyone is chipping in with ideas and helping out one another, just downright helpful and silly at the same time.
You guys are cool! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny you should mention that... I belong to a heating, AC, and refrigeration forum: http://www.hvac-talk.com

The atmosphere there is similar to SkyWolverines. I have been there for almost a decade, and have over 21K posts... it is just a cool place to hang out with folks who have similar interests. :wol2 :yoda2
They even have a section called 'ARP' which stands for America, Religion, Politics... we are asked to keep those topics in THAT area... it works fine. :Flag
They also have a section called 'The Cage' (it is in the pro section, not visible to the general public); where ARP is discussed, however with NO rules other than attacks, porn, and threats. It gets 'fun' in the cage sometimes. :die

I was seriously dismayed when I first got interested in gyro's, because RWF was NOT a friendly place, and politics were banned (sissies). :badluck :loser

I suggested an ARP section... was ignored... which I found out later was general operating procedure. :closed

I like SkyWolverines... it is a friendly and helpful place, with REAL people who live REAL lives. :like

And they play with magnificent flying machines, and they are always dreaming of something better, and they DO IT...
I suspect if one of us had a really bad situation in our lives... The Wolverines would rally and help if asked to...

What more could one ask for... :wol

Forum participation is NOT for the thinskinned, sensitive & sissies! ...... many are forever lurkers ... just watch the views on some popular threads ...& so few comments / likes ( NO "LIKE" button over on RWF .... a nice simple feedback tool ... to see if your posts are appreciated - OR :fuckum - boring!!! LOL!!!)

RWF ... IS an intimidating place for newbies! :Nazi

I still think it has value ... otherwise I quit posting there! .... there are plenty (silent-ones) there who won't be caught dead over here & I want to share my journey with them too!

I LOVE this forum for the freedom of speech & to be ones-self ... unrestrained by "proper protocol"!

Topic-drift ... who cares!

Pile-on the dipshits & wankers ... all good fun ... knowing if you do something dipshitty ... yer mates will heap it on you too!!! HAAAAA - its just LIFE! ( ...around the virtual campfire .... the international virtual campfire :Flag :Can :OZ !)

ROCK -ON :wol

GG ...... says it perfectly!!! :like :like :like

Uh-oh...campfires...next will be smores...then, inevitably, someone will start singing, "Kum-ba-ya."

Next thing you know everyone will start talking about putting Prius engines in their gyroplanes and running eco-fuel.

I'm more the bonfire type...or at least a good BBQ pit! Puts one in the proper mood to go burn up some dinosaurs!

Tell you what... this old fart does not trust Prius engines and eco-fuel...

Kinda tuff to park it on a cloud and clear the fuel clog...

And I seriously doubt descent to land would recharge the batteries... although IMO that is a technical challenge a :wol is goona take on.... just because they can.

I like the bonfire ideal also... albeit when it dies down... the embers are nice.

As to the singing... please do not ask me to... unless you brought along your helmet with ear protection... :laughing
